Carcass

Since I have been mentioning alot about love I felt it appropriate to end off with Baudelaire's poem Carcass. When I first read through this poem I didn't catch that it was meant to be romantic. I know that the person was not comparing the looks of the carcass to his girlfriend or vice versa but it is a very peculiar way to declare your love for someone. It is nice to see that he truly loves his companion but the way in which he went through the description of this carcass to finally tell her was very interesting. I don't think this type of poem would work to win me over. But we must give him credit for doing so in an unorthodox way.
