Mrs. Dalloway and regrets

We as human beings will most of the time have regrets when something does not turn out the way we wished them to. Having regrets is not necessarily a bad thing because we are able to learn from our mistakes. And because life is all about choices and experiences, we will make some mistakes. But if we had the chance to go back, would we change all of our mistakes so that we can avoid regrets? If Mrs. Dalloway married Peter instead of Richard, will she not wonder what would life be like with stability? If we go down one road, many of us through our human nature will wonder ..."what if I took the other road?" As for Mrs. Dalloway, in a way I do feel bad for her because her marriage lacks the passion and adventure Peter gave her, but I don't think it means she should have married him instead. She just needs a good marriage counselor or a new husband that will fulfill both the security she needs and the passion she wants.
