The secret to true Love........

The second pair of quotes that touched me from Emerson were; If you can love me for what I am, we shall be the happier", "Nothing can bring you peace but yourself". Although these two quotes don't seem to go hand in hand it reminded me of how a true relationship should be. I don't think people realize that besides looking for what you want in a relationship you should also look for what you need. I think its important to be able to be satisfied on your own within having someone else to make you feel good. There are many people who go on the notion that another person is supposed to make them feel complete but I beg to differ. I think we should already be a whole person before we get into a relationship because like Emerson says, your ultimately the only person who can bring peace to your life. And if you are truly a whole person, satisfied with who you are and love yourself then someone else should be able to love you easily.
