Who you least expect....

Although the title of this novel was Great Expectations for other reasons but one that I found rather amusing was Joe and Pip's relationship. It is quite funny how Pip disliked Joe somewhat during a major part of the novel because of his simplicity and lack of resources. However, it was Joe who cared for Pip when he most needed it. I think sometimes we dislike people for their superficial appearance or who we interpret them to be but sometimes we are wrong. When we most need someone they are there to prove us wrong and show us that they do indeed have a heart and are willing to help us out probably even more then what relatives would. This is why I try to be friendly to everyone because as the bible says "Do unto others as you would like to be done unto you". This is a very wise advice that we should all try to live by because the person you least expect might be the one to help you out when you most need it.
