"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so" ( Hamlet Act II Sc. II) In saying this Hamlet is giving us an insight into life. Is this statement true? Can there really exist no wrong or right way? Why is it that there are actions or sayings that are proper for some and improper for others? I think it is amazing how common we are as humans in a biological and microscopic level. We all have the same basic needs, we need food, shelter, warmth and water. However, we are all unique and unlike anyone else. But how is it that some things offend some people but not others? How did we get to this point of difference? I think this is a very intriguing quotes because in the end what defines an act or saying as being a bad or good one depends on our definition in life. This reminds me of Emerson because in his essay he says not to be a comformist and to speak whatever it is that we feel we must not worrying about what others say. But should we not respect others space? Shouldn't we try to make others feel comfortable and not say hurtful things to others? Life is full of questions but we all have our own answers to it.
