This act is very emotional because we have different ways of dealing death.First of all let's start with Hamlet. When he was told that his Father was murdered, indeed cried loud that he wanted to do justice to his father soul.He therefore waisting every body time paying attention to his little world and up to this point he has not done anything but murdered the innocent Polonius.They thought he was crazy, and but he knew what he was doing.I really can not believe he waisted all my reading time,while i was expecting he to be his father's son you a warrior.
Then we have Ophélia, poor innocent girl ,i guess was so affected by her father's death that committed suicide.Well i can understand that in a way because king did not do anything to do Justice to her father. Here we can say that she was the crazy one. Instead of Hamlet.
In addition to that we have LAERTES who seems to have what i call the courage to really step up at this point to avenge his father.
In all scene ,the real " evil doer" is the king.He is really setting up a fight between LAERTES and HAMLET so that he might get rid of both of them.

did she committ suicide? some characters state she did but it was the queen, I think, that in her madness, she laid down in water and the weight of her dress pulled her down. So I am confused...
Well i guess i have to got back and read the passage. I do beleive she committed suicide.It really does not make sense to me that a normal person will just go a lay in water and and be drawned in by the weight of the dress.You right now that i think about it. Lol First of all i think that author ought to take us seriously.Comment how is that possible? unless she had some heavy stones in that dress.
I feel that Ophelia did commit suicide because of her father's death. I think she got crazy in her mind because she couldn't understand how Hamlet the one who said he loved her could kill her father. Also with all the stories she was hearing about her father's death in town could have made her go crazy. I feel that she knew what she was doing because she knew that by her climbing a tree near a river was not a safe place to be, also she song to herself as she drowned meaning that she wanted to die.
