Hamlet Prince of Denmark

We are all given a tragic flaw of choice, choice between good vs. evil, heaven and hell, life and death, reality; Purgatory is the grey entity with the conceptual belief that an individual must correct, or is able to correct mistakes from there past. Both Chaucer and Shakespeare believe in a realm where one is able to repent, or change the quality of life itself. Unlike the knight in the Canterbury Tales we are not perfect, but none the less heroic human beings. To encounter unforeseeable adversity such as ghost, or unpleasant information is to analyze life.
