hamlet and his mother!
Even though I dont know the ending of the play well, I wanted to ask everyone on the blog a question about his character ? Why does it bother Hamlet the fact that his mother got married with the uncle leaving aside the fact that the uncle murdered his father for many motives. Is that she married the uncle for very short period of time after his father death, or is it the fact that he cant accpet the idea of the mother sleeping with someone else other than his father. I think its a deep emotion of his that bothers him inside his character ? I want to know what you guys think?

I think is a combination of both, Jehona. Hamlet is deeply hurt by his Father's death. He misses him; he wants to him in the house again; he wants to talk to him, not his uncle! Hamlet knows his uncle is evil: I had the sense that Hamlet knew how cruel his uncle is just from the way he is trying to console him about his father's death. On the other hand, I can imagine how Hamlet also feels like his his mother doesn't care about the death of his father by marrying his uncle so soon. I think Hamlet would have liked to see his mother wait a little longer until her second marriage. I do think though that Hamlet didn't want his uncle to be the new King. Hamlet would probably be happier if it would be someone else, not his uncle. It seems as if his mother was in love with his uncle and not Hamlet's father even before his death!
I also agree that it's both. No one wnats to believe that their mother would get over her husband's death so quickly, especially when it's your father. You also wouldn't want to image your parents with anyone else but each other so of course he would be upset at the idea of his mother sleeping with someone else as well. The emotions are probably even stronger as well because it's Hamlet's uncle and he should have loyalty to his brother.
I agree only with the fact that the queen married her brother in law in a short period time after his father had pasted away. But i don't think that it would had bother him that his mother married his uncle because during that time period it was okay to married a family member i believe.
