Dora
I always found Frued's work very interesting. I've learned in many psychology classes about his defense mechanisms of repression and psychoanalysis. I remember learning that the unconscious sexual drive of infancy help shape personlaity. He is also famous for performing psychoanalysis though dialogue between the patient and the psychoanalyst. Im very happy we read Dora in class because I always wanted to understand how this method worked. I think its gross how Ida has feelings for her father.

And I always disliked Freud for his crazy writings which are full of sexual stuff, content and theories. People I know all did not liked Freud when they had it in psychology classes. Though I like to read all books that happened between 1600-1945. And this work is exactly happened in 1900 when we met Frau Dora.
Although I am not the biggest fan of Freud, taking into consideration of the time he came up with his theories...I have somewhat of a better appreciation for his work. Though I can't say the same for the work on Dora. Looks like I will never be able to escape the works of Freud...now I'm just waiting to somehow hear about him in Math. :)
