I think even if Pip "makes it" in life, he will still feel isolated. Not only is he an orphan, but now he has to leave the only people he knows and adapt to a completely different environment, where i doubt he would ever be able to relate to anybody. Most likely he'll be miserable. But it's not just the story of Pip, i think many people have similar stories. You're born into your social status and it's really hard to change it. I dont know anybody who could become successful in life and not feel isolated from all their dear friends and family who live in poverty. But at least i think he is going to have more appreciation for his achievements.
