Great Expectations 2
I think our class discussion of how intentions don't succeed and how it related to the novel was very interesting. So much of our life actually is dictated by our parents expectations of us or other expectations of us. I think it confuses so many individuals and that is how we often lose out on knowing who we are because we can be shaped by others around us. Like Estella, I think it is unfair that not only was she taken away from her father all those years ago, she was raised to break hearts and in a sense never to love. How can it be okay for Ms. Havisham to take love away from someone? Love is one of life's most precious gifts.
