Estella: Who is she really?

This is my second time reading Great Expectations. I was always annoyed at Pip for being overcome by Estella. Reading it for a second time I wonder if Pip saw something in Estella that was genuine. Is Estella underneath all the coldness,an emotional being. At first glance she is a product of Miss Havisham. She is trained not to feel, not to love. But human nature does not allow a person to go about life without any emotions. Is she just playing a game with Pip or does she really come to love him? She orders Pip take her around, take her luggage. She is dictated by Miss Havisham? So is her snobbery really a front as the story progresses?
