Frederick Douglass

F. Douglass was born in a time of slavery. I really felt sick in my stomach when Douglass was telling his story when he first witnessed as a child his Aunt Hester get whipped by her master. He said that the master would take great pleasure in whipping a slave. He would whip her harder the louder she screamed and where she would be bleeding. He would make her take off her clothes first before he would whip her. the only reason he had whipped her was because she didn't obey him when he told her not to go out on evening and never to be with a young man. I have to say that i don't know if i could have lived during this time of period.
