The Carcass

Anyone, that can write a poem about a decaying body, and actually create this disgusting visualization with his words, all because he is trying to express how much he loves someone is AMAZING! The depth of this poem is intense, which is how he must of felt when he was writing it. Everything about this poem is natural, the decaying body, maggots, worms, the dog, grass, and the love that he feels. A trully fascinating work of art, I absolutly loved it.

Baudelaire is definitely in "Carcass" forcing the reader to pay attention to what he's saying in the poem through his hard core use of imagery. This poem was a little disgusting and graphic, but great!

I think that he really makes you hate and love the poem at the same time!He makes you disgusted by the description but at same time, the level of expression is very artistic and well put. I loved it!

It's true that Baudelaire shows and expresses his love amazingly, but it is still bizarre. Especially this cut tells us how he is suffering "Then, oh my beauty! You must tell the vermin,
As it eats you up with kisses..." Funny and interesting though...

i find this poem very disgusting and graphic to read but i must say that he used his words very well to let the reader know how much he was in love with this person.
