Symbolic Deaths all around...

Im thinking right now that the way a character died fits perfectly with their character.

Polonius, who tries to trick Hamlet through Ophelia by using her, USES a curtain to hide himself (to trick Hamlet into thinking he's not there) and then is killed.

Gertrude, who I think was ignorant of the fact that Claudius killed king Hamlet, died by drinking poison, ignorant to it and to the plot to kill Hamlet.

Ophelia, who represents the "innocent" in the play dies in a rather innocent way by, of all things, water.

Hamlet, who delays until the very end to take action against his father, is the very last to die.

Laertes, who is angry, irrational, and vengeful dies through his own devious plans to kill Hamlet.

Thoughts?

I really like that idea, and I agree with your analysis.

...I'd never thought of it that way! The only thing I am not confident of is Gertrude's ignorance, because she too felt uncomfortable watching the murder of Gonzago, and afterwards she reprimanded Hamlet for it.
