realistic character
I read hamlet when i was younger and didnt think much of it , but now after i read it again I noticed that Hamlet is a very realistic character, nothing really special about him, not particularly brave, insane, not a saint or anything. Seemed like an intelligent, but pretty regular person of his time. Ina situation like this I would probably behave like he did except i wouldnt kill anybody, but maybe if i lived in those days who knows..

Although I feel like Hamlet is a realistic character I am not sure that I would categorize him as a pretty regular person. I think Hamlet's downward spiral whether intentional or not, led him to murder Polonius and shrug it off. His downfall, understandably caused by his father's murder eventually brought the downfall of almost the entire royal house. Hamlet took upon himself the heavy brunt of revenge. He did not share his emotions and no one really helped him grieve.
I think Hamlet has some interesting qualities about him. He seemed to have goals and morals before he transformed. In a sense he was brave for standing up and against the royal court whether commendable or not.
So I am not sure if he his as regular as we might think. I think every characteR, including Hamlet has deeper motives and reasons behind their actions
