FLowers of evil
It is very interesting to me that Baudelaire says that boredom accounts for evil. I dont know if i necessarily agree with this but i do think that boredom can contribute to people not fulfilling their potential. The laziness causes people to sit around and not accomplish anything. I think he is making u look at a part of ourselves that we normally wouldnt want to. Many people might read this poem and be offended by it but i think that he is just pointing out the obivous but at an extreme level.

I agree that perhaps Baudelaire is looking at boredom to an extreme, but it does also cause people to do harmful things. Some people I know do drugs because they say they're bored and can't think of anything better to do. This is an extreme case, but I can see how boredom can be a major negative.
