Hamlet & Ophelia

I feel the relationship between Hamlet and Ophelia was doomed merely because of the personalities of both characters. Ophelia is too submissive to handle the emotional Hamlet as he was going through the aftermath of his fathers death and his new situation with his uncle as king and his mother having married her dead husbands brother.
Hamlet was in no situation to comfort her or pay any attention to her delicate situation with him so he came off as insensitive. Her suicide couldve been stopped by Hamlet if he wasnt undergoing his current situation. Also the madness between Ophelias brother and father, Laertes and Polonius, seemed to be more on the mind of the paranoid Hamlet than Ophelia.
Her suicide was a result of her falling in the background of all the men that she loved and cared for and was a combination of circumstance and her insecurity with herself. Ophelias death was inevitable for she was a weak character in her own skin.
