kubla khan
Kubla Khan's opening lines introduces Xanadu. It opens with a description of an Xanadu's pleasure dome. It talks about how a woman crys for her demon lover. It is very interesting to see the differences in the writings of Coleridge and Wordsworth. Coleridge acomplished making the supernatural something real. His friend Wordsworth did the opposite. Whats also very interesting is that Coleridge clamied that this poem had come to him in a dream. After he took some opium medicine he fell asleep for about 3 hours and woke up and composed a ton of poetry. I find this fact very intersting. Maybe next time I wanna write some poetry ill take some medicine and take a nap....Just kidding!
