tintern abbey

I ended up loving Tintern Abbey after our class discussion about it. At first read, it was a little difficult to fully comprehend what the author is trying to convey. But I believe Wordsworth has a beautiful message of life, change, growing up and its connection to nature. I agree with the theme that ‘nature is a cycle and life is a progress’. Understanding it forces us to look at life differently- emphasizing its continuous development and growth. This is idea is expressed by Wordswoth specifically as he describes his revisit to this landscape, nature is still the same while he has changed so much in the last five years. I found the end of the poem also very meaningful. The wish that he expresses to everyone is a very thoughtful and kind one. It makes us realize that though there is so much evil and wrong in the world, there is also good and beauty- and it can be found and enjoyed in nature.
